The New Puppy!

The one thing that we said had to wait until after the wedding was getting a new edition to the family, a new puppy that is, a little soon for kids. We wanted to get our other dog Puck a little friend to play with. We really felt bad leaving her when we went on our honeymoon for a week, it was then that I convinced Joey to start looking around. It wasn’t long after returning home from our honeymoon that we found him, we knew that he was the puppy for us right away, we had found our little Chevy. We were so excited to see how Puck was going to react to her new partner in crime. We weren’t totally surprised but a little saddened to see that she was less than impressed with the intruder that we brought home. It has taken some time but she is worming up to him a little, she still hates the fact that she has to share the attention with him. We give her lots of praise when she is tolerant with him and we know that with time they will be the best of K-9 friends.

We forgot about all of the work that goes into a puppy, It almost like having a baby, buying all the food, toys and accessories. We are now stepping over gates and waking up during the night to give him food and take him potty, oh and did I mention he sleeps in a Pack-n-play. We have to pick up every little crumb on the floor or he will find it, it can be tiring at times. It’s not all bad, it has been really fun having him around, he is such a good dog he never even makes a noise unless he is telling us that he has to be taken outside. I think that Joey would agree that we made the right choice in adding to our little family!
